Wildland Firefighters from Mason County Fire Districts 1, 3, 11, Central Mason Fire & EMS, North Mason Regional Fire Authority, and West Mason Fire were mobilized yesterday to the Palmer Fire in Okanagon County, Washington. Included in this response is West Mason Fire Chief Matthew Welander and Tender 16-1.
As of 5:05 p.m. today, the Palmer Fire is reported at just over 11,000 acres, nearly doubling in size from the 6,000 acres reported yesterday morning.
